Sour Apple Caramels with Black Lime + Hibiscus
We've been wanting to do a sour apple caramel for a while now--then this spring our friends at Burlap and Barrel reached out to us about a possible collab and it all fell into place! We use Burlap and Barrel's tart Black Lime powder, along with floral hibiscus and mellow Cinnamon leaves, and finish with a touch of cardamom seeds for crunch--we think it's the perfect sweet/tart treat!
This on-the-go size is great for lunchboxes, gift baskets, or to keep handy in case of candy emergencies!
All our luxurious caramels start as freshly-pressed cider, made from the heirloom apples we grow on our Sonoma County organic farm. We slow-cook our candies to buttery perfection using local butter and cream, + freshly ground spices. We dust every caramel with our Pink Pearl apple powder and vanilla bean sea salt to create both a delicious and beautiful treat!
