When we created our Passionfruit + Blood Orange + Guava Shrub, we knew we had to get it into the hands of Phaedra at FloraLuna. Her bitters and syrups are the kind of quality we love—thoughtful, complex, and made by someone who really understands flavor.
Phaedra dreamed up this cocktail to honor Women's History Month, and it's become one of our favorites. The way her Cardamom Clove Syrup plays with our tropical shrub is magic—warm spices that somehow make the fruit taste even brighter. A few drops of her Cayenne Ginger Bitters add just enough heat to keep things interesting, while the orange blossom water finish makes every sip feel like a celebration.
POG Cocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 oz dark rum
- .75 oz FloraLuna Cardamom Clove Syrup
- .75 oz fresh lemon juice
- .25 oz Passionfruit + Blood Orange + Guava Shrub
- 3 drops FloraLuna Cayenne Ginger Bitters
- 1 spray orange blossom water
- Garnish: fresh flower or Citrus Gem
Instructions: Add ice and all ingredients (except orange blossom water) into a shaker tin and shake for 10 seconds. Strain into a coupe or over a large ice cube into a rocks glass. Finish with orange blossom water spray and garnish with a fresh flower or Citrus Gem.
