We used delicate Bronx Grapes, an heirloom variety bred in 1919 as a cross between a Thompson's Seedless and the native Concord grape. This grape is delicious, but was actually deemed a commercial failure because it's too delicate to ship. Home gardeners kept this beauty going, we got cuttings from a farmer friend several years ago.
This vinegar has a delicate floral taste, which strangely does not resemble grapes at all. It's best enjoyed mixed with sparkling water, or simply mixed with some good olive oil as a salad dressing.
Most years the quail sneak in to the growing area and eat them up, so we only have 42 bottles of this rare one. Enjoy!
