Little Apple Palmer
Our twist on the classic Arnold Palmer swaps sweet tea for Earl Grey and adds our Blood Orange + Meyer Lemon + Tangerine Shrub for bright citrus notes. Created by bartender Danny Ojinaga, the homemade lime cordial brings everything together with a floral, slightly bitter finish that's perfect for hot days.
Lime Cordial (makes enough for many drinks)
- ¾ cup spent limes (save these after juicing limes!)
- ¾ cup sugar
- ¾ cup water
Toss spent limes with sugar in a large bowl—muddle them together if you like. Let sit overnight. The next day, pour boiling water over the mixture and stir until sugar dissolves. Strain and bottle. Keeps for weeks in the fridge.
Little Apple Palmer (makes 1 drink)
- 3 tablespoons cooled Earl Grey tea
- 1½ tablespoons Blood Orange + Meyer Lemon + Tangerine Shrub
- 1 tablespoon Lime Cordial
- Ice
- Soda water (optional)
Combine tea, shrub, and cordial in a jar with ice. Shake for just a few seconds—you don't want to water it down. Strain over fresh ice, or just build it right in the glass and stir.
Make a Big Batch: Mix 1½ cups Earl Grey, ¾ cup shrub, ½ cup lime cordial, and ¼ cup water. Stir well and bottle—no shaking needed.
